In the picturesque foothills of the Italian Alps, some sort of pestilence dribbled down a brook into the water supply of Pordenone in 1979. Three cherub-faced Italian boys—Diego "Ice F'Youx" Sandrin, Larry Plague, and Ronnie Mc Taylor—who grew up living on the exact same street, cupped their hands at the local well and took a cautious but deep drink of the cold, cold elixir.

That single sip transformed them from ordinary neighborhood kids into ICE & THE ICED, dynamic rebels who quickly rejected the clean-cut uniforms of The Great Complotto faction to forge their own anarchic, localized chaos.

Originally recorded in a frantic three-hour session inside a washing machine store, and pressed in a scant run of 600 black vinyl in 1981, the new filth in their bloodstreams mutated into some of the most notoriously obscure, KBD-approved punk that the beautiful boot has ever produced.
Expect deviant, raw guitar pushing the speed barrier. Pithy, overdriven drums jump between the dregs of r'n'r and the chaotic speed of pogo punk. Gentle flirtations with melody keep you from getting sick, while a peppering of inept synth effects and tape manipulation pack enough attitude to reverse your communion vows.

Following multiple delays between the Covid lockdown and the tragic passing of Diego (R.I.P.) two years ago, this luxury 7" artifact is finally getting its proper release. Although physically manufactured in 2021 for the record’s 40th anniversary—with a handful of rogue copies quietly circulating through punk gigs, trades, and gifts to close friends—what was meant to be the 40th has now officially become the 45th (rpm) Anniversary.

No Good Records is proud to present this official reissue, limited to 403 copies on black vinyl, plus 104 copies on clear "ice" vinyl pressed specifically in accordance with Diego’s personal wish, and including a two-sided poster made by the band back in '81, printed in Super Tabloid size and never included in the original pressing. The high-end, three-digit price tag of the original will no longer be an obstacle to making this legendary piece of underground history fully accessible at last.
